RIP Greyson Torres : ‘He couldn’t fight for himself’: baby boy dies following physical abuse

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fayette County coroner has determined that three-month-old Greyson Torres died as a result of physical abuse.

“He was my pride and joy; he helped me through so much,” expressed his aunt, Gloria Torres.

Greyson’s parents, Amancio Torres-Trevino and Kaela Walker, were arrested by Lexington Police on Tuesday and are facing charges of criminal abuse. Gloria Torres added, “I can’t comprehend why they would do this to him. He didn’t deserve it; he couldn’t defend himself—he was only three months old.”

Another aunt, Lora Villasana, informed LEX18 that Greyson suffered critical injuries and was removed from life support on Wednesday evening.

“I feel like I failed Greyson,” Villasana said. “I believe I could have done more; I should have done more. I feel like I let my sisters down because I should have been there for them.”

The bond for both Torres-Trevino and Walker has been set at $150,000 each. They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, October 7.

“They need to be held accountable for their actions,” Villasana stated. “There will be justice for Greyson; he deserves it.”

The family is organizing a balloon release later this week in memory of Greyson. Additionally, a GoFundMe page has been established to assist with funeral expenses, with more information available online.
