Amazon to hire 2,000 seasonal employees for Air Hub at CVG — good pay and opportunities

As the 2024 holiday shopping season approaches, Amazon has announced plans to hire 250,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions across the United States. This includes 3,000 roles in Kentucky and 2,000 in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The seasonal jobs at Amazon provide competitive pay, flexible schedules, and a chance to engage in the retail sector during its peak season. Many of these positions also offer the possibility of converting to regular, full-time employment after the holiday period.

Since 2010, Amazon has created over 22,000 jobs in Kentucky and around 38,000 in Ohio, supporting communities ranging from major cities like Cincinnati to smaller towns like Campbellsville. The company has invested $43 billion in Kentucky and $35 billion in Ohio during this time, contributing to local infrastructure and employee compensation.

Additionally, Amazon recently announced its largest wage increase for hourly associates, with front-line team members receiving a raise of at least $1.50 per hour starting this month. This adjustment will elevate the average base wage for these workers to over $22 per hour, reflecting Amazon’s commitment to supporting its employees during the busy holiday season and beyond.

“Our employees are the heart and soul of our operations, and we’re excited to welcome new members to the team,” said Karthik Bagavathi Pandian, Amazon Air Hub General Manager. “On top of Amazon Air Hub’s starting wage of $22.50—up to $25 depending on their shift —and industry-leading benefits on day one — we’re proud to provide a safe, innovative work environment where employees can grow their careers.”
