Houston will have four new uniforms, including the highly anticipated “H-Town Blue” colorway as an accent to the main colors. Despite the new uniforms, the famous lone star bull logo with remain.
This blue colorway, almost certainly a callback to the Houston Oilers uniforms, will come with much hype and controversy as the division rival Tennessee Titans began wearing Oilers’ uniforms this year as an alternate. This, of course, went down poorly with the Houston faithful, who can now complete their revenge by stealing the color back after sweeping the Titans this season.
Both Texans owner Cal McNair and Chief Marketing Officer Doug Vosik have teased the new blue color earlier this year. Now, with a young team that epitomizes the phrase “new hotness,” it’ll be exciting to see what new look they’ll bring to the franchise in 2024 and beyond.

The Houston Texans have made virtually no changes to their uniform since their inception in 2002, and even though they continue to look sharp in their 22nd season – along with some new flashy, very red uniform combinations debuted year – it’ll be refreshing to see a wholly new aesthetic for the first time in franchise history.
What do you think it’s going to look like? I think we’re going to see a slightly lighter navy main colorway for the pants and jersey, the classic Battle Red accenting the shoulders, hamstrings, and numbers, along with the “H-town blue” joining the blues on the shoulder accents. I think Houston will also keep the sharp, horn-like serifs that currently adorn the shoulders, but maybe dulled a little further.
It’s November 25th, 1993. Were at Texas Stadium for a Thanksgiving day showdown between the hometown Dallas Cowboys and the visiting Miami Dolphins. Dallas controls the game with a one-point lead but Miami’s lining up for a field goal in the final seconds. A booming kick could give the Dolphins a chance to gobble up a statement win against the defending Super Bowl Champions. Before we witness what comes next, there’s so much to unpack. To do that, we need to rewind
What do you think though? Will it be more of the same, more different, or something completely out of left field? Will this be more of a uniform update, a remix of the old school Oilers look, or something completely new? We’ll know for sure in April, but until then, let us know your predictions in the comments below! Or, bid farewell to the beautiful red, white, and blue jerseys we’ve all come to hold dear….
Goodbye, old jerseys!
