On Tuesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced the re-signing of forward Connor Dewar to a one-year contract worth $1.18 million. Dewar, aged 25, played 17 games for Toronto last season following his acquisition from Minnesota on March 8, contributing one goal and four assists while averaging 12:54 of ice time. Prior to joining Toronto, Dewar had a season with the Wild where he scored 10 goals and added four assists across 57 games. During the playoffs, he registered an assist in six games against the Boston Bruins in the first round.

Originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the third round of the 2018 draft, Dewar has accumulated career totals of 19 goals and 24 assists in 190 games spread over parts of three seasons with both the Wild (from 2021 to 2024) and the Maple Leafs.
