GOOD NEWS: DEAL DONE! – The Bulldogs Officially Announce The Signing Of Another Four-Star Prospect

Athens, Ga. – Head coach Mike White of the Georgia Bulldogs announced on Friday that Savo Drezgic, a highly-regarded four-star prospect from the Class of 2025, has opted to reclassify to the Class of 2024. Drezgic, a 6-3 guard originally from Belgrade, Serbia, spent the 2023-24 high school season at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he showcased his skills on the court.

Among Class of 2025 prospects, Drezgic is currently ranked No. 31 by On3.com, No. 63 by 247Sports.com, and No. 106 by rivals.com. He also holds rankings as the fifth-best point guard by On3.com, tenth by 247Sports.com, and twentieth by rivals.com.

Drezgic’s recent achievements include earning all-tournament honors at two prestigious European events this spring. In April, he played a pivotal role in leading Serbia to a Silver Medal at the Albert Schweitzer U18 World Tournament in Manheim, Germany. During the tournament, he averaged 13.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, showcasing his versatility and leadership on the international stage.

Earlier in March, Drezgic excelled at the 2024 Adidas Next Generation Tournament while representing Partizan Belgrade. He led his team with impressive statistics across four games, averaging 19.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.8 steals per game, demonstrating his all-around skills and competitive spirit.

At DME Academy, Drezgic maintained his high level of performance, averaging 13.4 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game. His contributions helped DME achieve a strong 25-11 season record, reaching the semifinals of the Grind Session Championship, where he was named to the all-tournament team.

Before his time at DME, Drezgic competed for Partizan Belgrade, gaining valuable experience in both the ABA League and ABA League U19 competitions. His notable performance included a standout game against Mega SM, where he tallied 24 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists.

Drezgic’s commitment adds to an already impressive recruiting class for Georgia, which now features nine newcomers—comprising four high school prospects and five transfers. This incoming group has garnered high praise, ranking as high as No. 14 overall by 247Sports.com for the Bulldogs’ recruiting class. The freshmen additions have been ranked as high as No. 13 by ESPN.com and rivals.com, showcasing the team’s strong foundation for the future.

Under Coach Mike White’s leadership since March 2022, Georgia has shown significant improvement, highlighted by a ten-win increase in regular-season victories during his first season. The Bulldogs secured their first postseason berth since 2017 and made a notable run to the NIT semifinals last season, marking their first 20-win season since 2016.

With the addition of Savo Drezgic and other talented recruits, Georgia looks poised to continue its upward trajectory and compete at a high level in college basketball.
