Sosna played a pivotal role in contract negotiations, particularly overseeing extensions for key players like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, and Jared Goff, highlighting his integral contribution to the team.
In response to Sosna’s departure, the Lions have appointed Charlie Adkins as their new Senior Director of Football Administration, as reported by ESPN’s Seth Walder. Adkins brings a wealth of experience from his seven-year tenure with the Arizona Cardinals, where he most recently served as manager of football analytics and research. Prior to this role, Adkins was a football operations analyst, establishing himself as a crucial asset in the Cardinals’ analytical and operational strategies.
Adkins’ influence extended across various facets of the Cardinals’ operations. He provided essential analytical insights to head coach Kliff Kingsbury, aiding in strategic play calling, and played a visible role in pivotal moments such as trade negotiations, notably highlighted during the Cardinals’ interactions with the Lions in the 2023 draft.
