DEAL DONE: Pittsbourgh Steelers Complete The Signing Of Veteran Wide Receiver

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem poised to build upon a 2023 season in which they finished 10-7 and made the playoffs for the first time since Ben Roethlisberger retired following the 2021 campaign.

They have added future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Russell Wilson and backup QB Justin Fields, as well as emerging star linebacker Patrick Queen.

On Monday, in order to add some depth, the Steelers announced on their Twitter account that they had signed wide receiver Jaray Jenkins.

Jenkins went undrafted last year and joined the Jacksonville Jaguars shortly afterward, where he played briefly in the preseason but was released before Week 1.

He played four seasons of college ball at LSU, where he totaled 89 catches for 1,370 yards and 14 touchdowns while getting to play with QB Jayden Daniels as a senior in 2022.

The main man for Pittsburgh at wide receiver moving forward is George Pickens, who had 1,140 yards while leading the NFL with 18.1 yards per reception last season.

While they traded WR2 Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, they did bring in Van Jefferson, who caught 89 balls for 802 yards and six touchdowns while helping the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl championship during the 2021 season.

The Steelers play in arguably the best and most brutal division in the NFL, which includes the Baltimore Ravens, who had the league’s best record in 2023, the talented Cleveland Browns, and the 2021 AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals.

But they appear to have the talent to reach the playoffs once again and perhaps win at least one contest there.
