DEAL DONE: Three-star Linebacker Sam Haley commits to TCU

Three-star Nashville Ensworth inside linebacker Sam Haley announced his commitment to TCU Football on Friday night via Instagram Live, bringing the Horned Frogs’ 2025 Class to nine players. Haley’s addition brings the TCU 2025 Class into the Top 25 nationally, placing at 22nd overall per 247Sports. Haley selected the Frogs over 21 other offers, with a final four that also included North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee.

A top-25 player in Tennessee, the 6-foot-3, 220 pound linebacker is the first member of TCU’s 2025 Class from outside of Texas. Ranked as the No. 78 linebacker in the nation, Haley joins fellow linebacker prospects Dillon Arkansas and Keylan Abrams as new defensive coordinator Andy Avalos looks to put his stamp on the roster. Haley has recorded 138 tackles total through three high school seasons, with 4 sacks and 50 solo tackles in 2023. Enworth opens its 2024 season on August 23 at home vs. Union City.

“I toured TCU about three weeks ago and just fell in love with the campus,” Haley said. “I just really pictured myself in every aspect of TCU, whether it would be the academics or the social life. This is where I want to be. This is where I’m going to be happy.”
