“His interviews are often a major draw, and he’s quite candid about his opinions.” (Q&A)

How long have you been supporting Morecambe?

I’ve been a Morecambe supporter since the 2006-2007 season, which was our final season in the old Conference Premier. It’s been quite a rollercoaster ride since those days!

What are your aspirations and expectations for the 2023/24 season?

My hope is for a strong comeback and promotion back to League One. Derek Adams is one of the best managers, especially at the League Two level, so I expect us to at least secure a playoff spot. Off the field, I’m hopeful for new owners to ensure the club’s long-term sustainability.

What’s your opinion of your manager?

As I mentioned earlier, Derek Adams is one of the top managers in this league. His style of play is thrilling when at its best and effective when necessary for a scrappy 1-goal win. His interviews are often entertaining, and he doesn’t hold back in expressing his thoughts.

Describe your team’s style of play and tactics – is it direct, passing, or a hybrid?

I wouldn’t characterize us as possession-based, and we often perform better when not dominating ball possession. Nevertheless, we excel in transition and boast some exciting young attacking players.

Who should we keep an eye on, both currently and in the future?

Keep an eye on Adam Mayor. He’s the real deal.

Share a fun fact about your club.

Many years ago, when Luton Town was in League Two despite being Premier League newcomers, we used to compete for The Eric Morecambe Trophy. Morecambe won the inaugural match 3-0, with goals from Kevin Ellison, Mark Hughes, and Padraig Amond.

Tell us about your favorite and least favorite matches involving Morecambe.

My favorite match remains the 4-3 home victory against Crewe Alexandra at Christie Park, featuring a memorable winner from Dave Artell. As for my least favorite, a few particularly poor performances come to mind. A dull 0-0 away draw at Aldershot Town in the 2012-2013 season stands out as I answer these questions, which must have been quite disappointing considering we’ve even suffered a 7-0 loss in the past.

Who do you think will make it to the top six, and who will end up in the bottom four?

Top Seven (in no particular order): Stockport County, Notts County, Morecambe, Mansfield, Wrexham, and Accrington Stanley.

And one more team of your choice!

Bottom Two: Tranmere Rovers and Grimsby Town.

What’s your perspective on Lincoln City?

Lincoln City is a fantastic club with incredible support. We’ve had many closely contested matches against each other over the years. I hope tomorrow’s game will be just as exciting!

What’s your prediction for the upcoming match?

I’ll predict a 2-1 victory for Morecambe. We’ve had a good run in cup competitions in recent years, and our away form has been improving. Wishing you all the best for the remainder of the season!
