The Boston Celtics escaped Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a win over the Indiana Pacers.
This was a back-and-forth contest, and the Celtics needed overtime to pull out this victory.
While it was certainly a great win, a few people, including Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, have expressed concern for the Celtics.
Russo discussed his feelings about Game 1, also issuing a warning to the Celtics about Game 2.
“If the Celtics lose Game 2 to Indiana, that is a horrific sign for Boston,” Russo said.

In Russo’s eyes, if the Celtics drop Game 2 to the Pacers, this could be the first sign of their downfall
The Celtics were one of the best teams in the NBA during the regular season, and they came into the playoffs as heavy favorites to win the finals.
With this in mind, the Celtics, at least on paper, should outperform the Pacers in this series.
If the Pacers pick up a win in Game 2 and gain momentum, Russo is worried that they’ll take that into Game 3 and Game 4, going back to their arena with high expectations.
The Celtics have a two-headed monster in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, one of the best superstar tandems in the league.
With any luck, they can take care of business in Game 2, heading to Indianapolis with a commanding 2-0 series lead.
