Breaking: Raiders in talks to seal the deal of NFL veteran Tight End

Raiders Veteran Says 1 New Rookie Is Going To Be ‘Dangerous’

The new-look Las Vegas Raiders are building something as they’ve got some young talent that they can mold into productive NFL players.

Arizona alum Antonio Pierce named interim coach of Las Vegas Raiders - Arizona Desert Swarm

Under new head coach Antonio Pierce, it appears that the Raiders are intent on building through the trenches though they also have acquired skill players that fit the attitude and mentality that Pierce is going for.

Las Vegas also lucked out a bit in the 2024 NFL Draft as they somehow were able to land Georgia tight end Brock Bowers whom many considered to be a lock to go in the top ten.

Bowers was the best tight end in college football the past two years and will now form a formidable tandem with Michael Mayer whom the team selected early in the second round of the 2023 NFL season.

Mayer isn’t looking at Bowers as competition and actually believes the duo will be a handful for opposing teams via Jeremy Bergman of Around The NFL.

“He’s fast. He’s got great hands. He can block. He can do it all. I feel like we can both do it all,” Mayer said. “I think we’re gonna be dangerous. I think we’re gonna have a great offense. That’s kind of all I’ve got to say about it. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Mayer was a highly-touted prospect himself and Pierce will now have two young tight ends to work with offensively.

As Mayer pointed out, the two players are versatile enough to line up just about anywhere along the formation which gives the Raiders some serious creativity to work with in 2024.
