Following the transfer portal move, Ohio State star Jeremiah Smith shares a three-word message for Air Noland

In addition to getting ready for the 2024 College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes are working diligently on the transfer site. Unfortunately, it looks like they might lose one of their own players. On Monday, quarterback Air Noland accessed the transfer portal, prompting Jeremiah Smith to send him a three-word message. After committing to the Buckeyes in April 2023, Noland played for them during the 2024 season, although he did not play for them. Being a true freshman, Noland is still young, so he decided to use the transfer portal to see if he could find a new team where he could play. Although it might not seem like much because Noland didn’t play, he bonded with his teammates while he was a student at Ohio State. Smith, their standout wide receiver, sent Noland a brief note after learning of his transfer portal choice. Smith responded to Noland’s entry into the transfer portal by writing, “Love ya boy,” on X, the platform that was originally known as Twitter.

Smith and Noland became great friends after they both made their Ohio State debuts in the same recruiting class. Smith, who has hauled in 57 passes for 934 yards and 11 total touchdowns, has been one of the Buckeyes’ best offensive playmakers while Noland was confined to the sideline. Noland could attract some interest from quarterback-needy schools across the country because he was a four-star recruit right out of high school. Although his intention appears to be to find a new home where he can get some playing time, he is not certainly leaving just because he logged into the transfer portal. It will be necessary for Smith and the Buckeyes to focus on their next CFP games. Kickoff for Ohio State’s first-round showdown against Tennessee is slated for Saturday, December 21, at 8 p.m. EST, following their shocking loss to the Michigan Wolverines in their regular season finale.
