“Exactly what we need” – Rangers agree £4.5m+ deal for another brand new transfer

Rangers agree £4.5million fee as Mohamed Diomande transfer update emerges

Rangers will pay £4.5million to sign FC Nordsjælland midfielder Mohamed Diomande, according to BT.

The Danish source has reported on its website [23 January] that the deal will be the biggest signed off in the entire Superliga during this January transfer window.

It is shared that the initial multi-million fee could still rise with added bonuses for Diomande, who is now on the verge of sealing his move to Ibrox.

Rangers have won the race for the Ivorian midfielder ahead of many other sides, with other offers also on the table to take him away as he enters the final year of his contract.

Getting it done.

Diomande has already travelled home from a training camp in the United States of America and just needs to complete his medical and sign a contract before being announced.

Chris Jack shared on 22 January that his arrival into Glasgow has been delayed by Storm Isha, but the deal is still going ahead as expected.

It is brilliant to see that Rangers are using their cash wisely in the January transfer window, and are not just rushing into signing anyone who could be a mistake.

Philippe Clement has admitted he is not best pleased with the transfer strategy the club has used in recent years, and the signing of Diomande is certainly different.

A young rising talent coming from one of the best clubs for that in Europe will provide instant relief but also great sell-on value, something that is missing dramatically in this current squad.

Hopefully, the storm passes soon and this deal can be finalised.
