DEAL DONE! Elite 4-star guard with highest number of blocks announced commitment on Wednesday
Auburn basketball recruiting is making waves this year, with four-star point guard Kaden Magwood set to announce his college choice at 2:30 PM CT today. Magwood, a 6’1”, 170-pound standout ranked No. 44 nationally and the top player in North Carolina, is considering Auburn, Ole Miss, and NC State. He visited Auburn in September and Ole Miss earlier this year, but has yet to visit NC State despite its proximity.
Kaden Magwood has garnered attention for his impressive offensive and defensive skills on the basketball court. Averaging close to 23 points per game, he has demonstrated remarkable efficiency with shooting splits of 53% from the field, 52% from three-point range, and 80% from the free-throw line. Additionally, he contributes 1.7 steals per game, showcasing his defensive tenacity. His aggressive style of play and self-assuredness have drawn comparisons to Auburn’s freshman guard Tahaad Pettiford, a dynamic talent who has already made an impact in the Tigers’ backcourt this season.
If Magwood decides to commit to Auburn, his addition would further bolster coach Bruce Pearl’s already successful program. Known for attracting top-tier talent, Auburn has developed a reputation as a prime destination for elite basketball prospects. With Magwood’s potential commitment, the Tigers’ future looks even brighter. Stay tuned for updates on his announcement!
