Crosby reveals what he plans to do vs. Broncos as he urges fans not to worry

When the Las Vegas Raiders welcome the Denver Broncos to Allegiant Stadium, there will be no postseason implications at stake for either team. With nothing to play for, it is not surprising to see players sit out so as to avoid injury. With a loss, the Raiders would fall to 7-10 and give themselves a chance to secure a top-10 selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.

But star defensive end Maxx Crosby doesn’t care about any of that. Although the Raiders won’t play postseason football this season, Crosby has no plans to sit out and miss the game against their AFC West rivals. He elaborated on the latest episode of his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby.

He elaborated on the latest episode of his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby. “Everybody has their goals as far as what they want to do going into a season,” he said. “I do; I know Davante [Adams] does; I know Josh [Jacobs] does. I know we’re all playing. We plan on playing at our best, and we have to go out and find a way to get a win. I don’t give a damn about potentially getting a higher draft pick. You hear about that s— all the time. I don’t want to hear none of that. I go out there to win and play at my best. I definitely plan on doing that.”

Even though the Raiders could secure a higher draft selection with a loss, they do not plan on sitting anybody out who is capable of playing, and the team wants to end the season with a victory. Crosby is in the midst of a career-best season, posting career-highs in sacks and is just two tackles for loss off of the career-high he set last season. The Raiders also have a chance to post a winning record in the AFC West for the first time since 2020. They have gone 3-3 in the division in each of the last two seasons.

The Raiders have made strides in 2023 under Interim Coach Antonio Pierce, and they can close out the season with a win over a division rival to give themselves momentum going into 2024. While winning would hurt the Raiders’ draft standing, players and coaches will never “tank,” so fans should expect nothing but relentless pursuit of a victory from Crosby and his squad.
