CHANDLER, Ariz. — Known coffee aficionado Nelly Korda, back in Arizona to defend her title at the Ford Championship, has been scouting out the caffeine scene this week.
The tournament is at a new location from where she won it a year ago, providing an opportunity to find her fix at some new locations.
“I went to this place called Cartel twice, and then another one that actually, I think Megan [Khang] recommended the other day,” Korda said before revealing a change in her diet. “I’m dairy free right now, which is so heartbreaking.”
She then added that change is not always great.

“I’m hoping it’s really just not permanent because oatmilk lattes do not hit the same way,” she said with a laugh.
So you’re a whole milk girl?, she was asked.
“Yeah, whole milk, raw milk girl actually,” she said, explaining that it is in an effort to “sort out like my gut issues.”
Korda’s win at the Ford a year ago was the third in a stretch of four straight wins. She’s seeking her first win in her third start of 2025.
