Meghan Markle has remained independent to become a successful entrepreneur, something experts say she has intended to do since leaving the UK Royal Family in 2020
Plucky Meghan Markle has been praised for continuing her journey to “become a billionaire on her own” – despite setbacks.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, was this week noted for her resilience in hitting back at claims she and Gwyneth Paltrow had had a feud. Fans say this is reflective of Meghan’s character and determination to succeed in the face of frequent adversity, and mirrors the duchess’ attitude to business.
She’s launched another clothing brand this week, and has a new podcast out soon. However, critics slammed the mum for exploiting her children; Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet, as part of promotion for her new clothing venture by sharing a candid photograph on its social media of her and the youngsters.
Meghan and Prince Harry parted ways with the Royal Family five years ago after the monarchy refused to accept commercial endorsements by the couple, something they’ve continued to do in the US. It has divided opinion among fans and experts, with one royal insider today saying: “She wants to be a billionaire. She wants a private jet. She wants to live a certain life.”
Fans agreed with the insider but largely praised Meghan, a former actress, for trying to achieve these goals independently since moving to California. One posted: “She fascinates me, and that’s a credit to her. She’s doing things (for) herself.” Another shared: “Wish her all the very best in her achievements, she’s doing it on her own.” A third described Meghan as “the world’s most humble human being” in a post online.
Since moving to the US, Meghan and Harry signed a £80million contract with Netflix, and the pair have had various shows. Meghan’s most recent series, which is called With Love, Meghan, has been commissioned for a second season. This was despite dreadful reviews early into the first series.
