King Charles and Queen Camilla brave the rain as they are spotted at church in Sandringham

The pair came prepared with their brollies as they made the short walk across the royal estate to St Mary Magdalene Church for their first Sunday service of 2025

King Charles and Queen Camilla took shelter under their umbrellas and made a swift entrance into the church as torrential rain battered Norfolk on arrival to their Sunday service at Sandringham.

The pair braved the chilly temperatures sweeping the UK at the moment, with several towns and cities blasted with heavy snow and freezing rain. Both Charles, 76, and Camilla, 77, arrived at the church armed with their brollies, including Camilla’s frequently used umbrella – a clear, silver-handled dome-shaped one believed to be from Selfridges.

Charles arrived donning his iconic beige wool overcoat while Camilla opted for a chic chocolate brown dress coat paired with long brown boots, a fur-trimmed hat and black gloves for their first Sunday morning church visit of 2025. Despite the gloomy skies overhead, the pair appeared cheerful as they were welcomed by the church clergy, including rector Revd Canon Dr Paul Williams.

Charles and Camilla are currently staying at the Sandringham estate after celebrating Christmas at the Norfolk Royal residence, in line with Royal tradition. The pair were joined by their wider family as they attended a Christmas Day service at the church last week, where they were greeted by crowds of adoring fans as they walked along the estate with the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Princess Kate was seen grinning and strolling along the estate with husband Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, 11, Prince Louis, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 8. Other Royals in attendance included Zara Tindall, Lady Louise and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who also celebrated the festive period in North Norfolk.
