Great news: Netflix is planning to include South Carolina football in its most recent SEC documentary

In a way, South Carolina football is making a big impression.

A partnership between Netflix and the SEC to create a behind-the-scenes look at the 2024 football season and the rivalry and drama that surround football has been formally announced. The South Carolina Gamecocks will be one of 10 SEC teams included in this documentary.

The Tennessee Volunteers will be the only team featured in the documentary, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2025, to have advanced to the College Football Playoffs.

The producers of this series are the same ones behind “Full Swing,” which investigates the PGA Tour, and “Formula 1: Drive to Survive.” Each of the eight planned episodes will run for around forty-five minutes.

The following ten universities will be featured: Mississippi State, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, and, of course, South Carolina. Ten schools responded to the invitation and agreed to be recorded out of the sixteen that were offered.

A glimpse into the life of coaches and players both on and off the field will be provided by this documentary, which will also show what goes on behind the scenes and in the locker room. Given the Gamecocks’ ups and downs throughout the 2024 season, South Carolina supporters will be overjoyed to see this documentary.
Everyone who supports the Gamecocks will be excited to watch them go from 3-3 to 9-3 with a chance to qualify for the College Football Playoffs.
