It is with much pleasure that we congratulate Aeneas Pebbles and Antwan Powell-Ryland on their selection to the Third Team Defensive Line. Naturally, they are the first team for the Hokies, but the honor is also a big deal for the NFL Draft.
On top of that, APR has been selected to the Walter Camp and CBS Sports All-American teams, in addition to the AFCA (American Football Coaches’ Association) and FWAA (Football Writers’ Association) second teams.
The Dudley Award, given annually to Virginia’s top athlete, was also presented to Antwan Powell-Ryland.
It will be fascinating to watch APR’s NFL draft projections given his fame. We’ll be following and monitoring the process, but wow, Tech hasn’t had this level of representation in All-American lists in quite a while.
