Former New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Jahri Evans was honored by being inducted into the Saints’ prestigious Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony on November 17, 2024, at the Caesars Superdome. The event took place during the Saints’ game against the Cleveland Browns, celebrating Evans’ exceptional career and lasting impact on the franchise.
Drafted in 2006 out of Bloomsburg University, Evans quickly became a cornerstone of the Saints’ offensive line. Over 11 seasons with the team, he started all 169 regular-season and 10 postseason games at right guard. His stellar contributions helped propel the Saints to victory in Super Bowl XLIV and established him as one of the league’s most dominant guards. Evans was named a five-time All-Pro, a six-time Pro Bowler, and was included in the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s. He also became a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist in 2024.
Evans now joins other Saints legends, such as Rickey Jackson and Archie Manning, in the Ring of Honor. Saints owner Gayle Benson praised Evans for his professionalism and pivotal role in the team’s historic success, calling him “one of the greatest Saints of all time”.
