Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman will not play in the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a wrist injury he sustained in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter when Coleman attempted to catch a deep pass from quarterback Josh Allen. Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer collided with Coleman’s wrist, leading to a penalty for unnecessary roughness. Coleman immediately left the field and was later seen with a brace on his wrist.
The 21-year-old rookie, who was drafted from Florida State in the second round, has been a strong performer this season with 417 receiving yards and three touchdowns, ranking among the Bills’ top receivers. Coleman has undergone additional testing on his wrist to assess the extent of the injury. His absence will likely impact the team’s receiving corps, especially with veteran wideout Amari Cooper also dealing with injuries.
