GOOD NEWS: Alabama gets 2025 commitment from Mississippi high school wide receiver

On Thursday night, South Alabama secured a verbal commitment from Trae Stevenson, a wide receiver from Germantown High School in Madison, Mississippi, for their 2025 football class. Stevenson, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, had also received scholarship offers from several other schools, including Arkansas State, Georgia State, and Jacksonville State. His commitment is South Alabama’s ninth for the 2025 recruiting class and the second in just three days, following cornerback Kohl Bradley from George County High School in Mississippi, who committed on Tuesday.

Stevenson shared his commitment news through social media. During his junior year at Germantown, a Class 7A school, he made 49 receptions for 842 yards and scored eight touchdowns. In addition to his football accomplishments, Stevenson excels in track and field for the Mavericks.
