Jaycob Megna, a defenseman, has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Florida Panthers. This move marks his fourth team in three seasons, following stints with the San Jose Sharks, Seattle Kraken, and Chicago Blackhawks. Originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Megna has played 185 NHL games, accumulating four goals and 23 assists. He has also competed extensively in the AHL, where he scored 18 goals and 80 assists in 370 games. Megna notably represented the United States at the 2022 IIHF Men’s World Championship, contributing two assists in eight games.
