GOOD NEWS: Bills Officially Announce The Return From Injury Of 5-Star LineBacker

Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano has received medical clearance to resume practicing, a significant step in his recovery from a severe leg injury sustained last season. Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Milano, a seasoned player with seven years of experience, is expected to fully participate once training camp begins next month.

McDermott praised Milano’s dedication to his rehabilitation, acknowledging the hard work he has put in alongside the team’s training staff. Despite being sidelined during voluntary spring sessions, Milano remained focused on his recovery and is eager to return to the field, both for himself and for his teammates.

Assuming there are no setbacks, the team’s medical staff anticipates Milano will be ready to practice when camp commences on July 24th. Milano himself expressed satisfaction with his return to action, hinting that he’ll provide more details during training camp.

His fellow players are equally thrilled about his comeback, recognizing the positive impact his presence has on the team, even in a limited capacity. Milano’s absence was felt during his recovery, given his instrumental role in Buffalo’s defense since his draft selection in 2017. Despite being relatively small for his position, his speed and hard-hitting style have made him an indispensable asset on the field.

Milano’s injury occurred during a game against Jacksonville last October, resulting in surgery to repair a broken leg and other damage. The Bills began mandatory camp without several injured players, including rookie running back Ray Davis and veteran linebacker Nick Morrow, though details of their injuries were not disclosed.

McDermott indicated that adjustments may need to be made to practice schedules due to the absence of some players. However, safety Mike Edwards, who had missed previous spring sessions due to a shoulder injury, was set to return on a limited basis.

The only player absent from camp, cornerback Christian Benford, was excused due to a family matter, according to McDermott.
