Another big-time recruiting target making the trip to Baton Rouge!

As official visit season rapidly approaches, it’s becoming more and more clear that coach Brian Kelly has placed a significant emphasis on the defensive backfield heading into the heat of the class of 2025 recruiting cycle. Most recently, LSU football locked in an official visit with blue chip safety Omarion Robinson.

Ranking as the No. 241 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as No. 22 at the safety position, the 6-foot, 171-pound recruit is unlikely to come in and make an immediate impact, but has the potential to become something special down the line.

As a part of Parkview High School in Little Rock, AR, Robinson has done just about everything for his team, playing every position from quarterback, to wide receiver, to safety, which could give him an immediate edge from an athleticism standpoint once he reaches the college level.

As we stand today, Arkansas and Oklahoma appear to be the current favorites to land the blue chip safety, but with LSU getting him on campus for an official visit later this month, there’s at least a chance for the Tigers, which very well could be all they need to turn his attention towards Baton Rouge, LA, before things are all said and done.
