McLaren’s Lando Norris Sends A “Shocking” Three-Word Message To Supporters Concerning His Future

It’s been a whirlwind 2024 so far for Formula 1 driver Lando Norris. The well-known British racer for McLaren has grabbed four podiums in the first eight races of the season and won last month’s prestigious Miami Grand Prix with flying colors.

Yet, despite his remarkable achievements, the 24-year-old Norris remains as down-to-earth as ever, while his optimism for McLaren’s future is strong.

“I’ve basically spent my whole life,” Norris said, “just trying to do that one thing I did there, in Miami,” he said of winning the big, high-profile American race. “It was probably the best place I could win, alongside my home Grand Prix in Silverstone.

In adding his name to the Formula 1 race winners list, Norris bested perennial leader and three-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen, or Red Bull Racing, by over seven seconds to take the checkered flag that day in south Florida.

“Miami is always a lot of fun. It’s a cool place, great stadium. I’ve got a lot of friends there, so it’s just an enjoyable week. But this one was topped off even more so by the result.”

Norris added that the great fanfare and all the attention that the Miami Grand Prix attracts from racing diehards and celebrities, combined with his win, turned what he considers “one of the most fun weeks” in racing to “possibly the best week ever of my career.”

Since logging his maiden win in Miami on May 5, Norris took second place in the next race at Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on May 19, while the following race, his Australian McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, took second the following weekend at Monaco.
