GOOD NEWS: Veteran DL Transfer In Celebrations As He Finally Commits To TCU

TCU Football picked up its second commitment of the spring portal window on Sunday as former Houston Cougars defensive lineman Hakeem Ajijolaiya announced his commitment to join the Horned Frogs for his sixth collegiate season. After redshirting in 2019, the Katy Tompkins product played in 40 games during his four active years with the Cougars, with starts on the interior defensive line, making 27 total tackles with one sack and two fumble recoveries, including a recovered Chandler Morris fumble vs. TCU last fall.

Unranked by most of the recruiting services, Ajijolaiya is a three-star transfer product per On3, ranking as the number 156 defensive lineman in the portal. The 6-foot-2, 320 pound DT is the second spring commitment, joining Alabama offensive lineman James Brockermeyer; he’s the third defensive lineman transfer addition of the offseason, adding to Notre Dame transfer Nana Osafa-Mensa and Tulane EDGE Devean Deal while TCU’s star defensive lineman Damonic Williams transferred to Oklahoma.
