Five-star LSU football recruits Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry took some time earlier this week to reaffirm their commitment to head coach Brian Kelly and his team.
Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry stand strong on their commitment to the LSU football program
Through the early portions of this week, the On3 Elite Series has been taking place in Nashville, TN, where some of the top talents in the entire class of 2025 met up to not only talk recruiting, but learn about the intricacies of NIL before they ultimately land at the college level.
While some players used the trip as a means for building their recruitment up, several others took the opportunity to shut things down completely and commit to their future program.
In the case of five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and five-star running back Harlem Berry, they had already committed to play for LSU football back in January. In turn, they couldn’t exactly announce a stronger commitment per se, but they certainly tried to at least further emphasize their pledge to the program.
Underwood was quoted saying, “If you are committed to a school, stay committed to a school,” while Berry gave a similar sentiment, telling Chad Simmons of On3, “If I could sign tomorrow, I would.”
The timing of the reemphasized commitments are notable, as just earlier this month, the No. 1 wide receiver in the country – Dakorien Moore – decommitted from the purple and gold, which raised some eyebrows for many fans on whether this would become a trend or not.
However, with the No. 1 quarterback and No. 1 running back in the country still on board with the Tigers, it’s safe to say that things are still trending in a very positive direction for the future of coach Brian Kelly and his football program.
Even better, the five-star duo already seems to have a connection on the football field, managing to put together quite the collection of highlights earlier this spring while competing in the OT7 Orlando event as a part of the 7-on-7 team “Fleaux.”
Unfortunately for college football followers, there’s still over a year remaining until the five-star duo will have the opportunity to suit up for the purple and gold. Even so, barring any changes in either of their recruitments, LSU football fans have every reason to be excited for the future of Tiger football, and coach Brian Kelly might not be done just yet.
