Boston Celtics star Kristaps Porzingis is slated to make his return from injury against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Boston Celtics fans can rejoice as Kristaps Porzingis will likely play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.
According to Sebastian Christensen of ESPN, “all signs point to” Porzingis making his debut from injury versus the Mavericks.
The Latvian center went down with a calf injury in Game 4 of the Miami Heat series on April 30 and has not appeared in a playoff game since then, missing almost the entirety of the Celtics’ successful run to the NBA Finals.
Porzingis, who moved to the Celtics in the summer of 2023, was an important factor in the team’s immensely successful regular season run. He posted averages of 20.1 points (51.6% field goal shooting), 7.2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game in the 2023-24 regular season.
As stated before, the Celtics will meet the Mavericks in the NBA Finals, Game 1 of which will take place on June 7.
