Las Vegas Raiders fans always had a tumultuous relationship with their former quarterback Derek Carr, who had a roller coaster of a career as the team’s starting QB for nine years before signing with the New Orleans Saints prior to last season.
In a recent clip, Carr poked the bear and inadvertently riled up his former fanbase once again by giving a surprising answer when asked about his favorite stadiums to play in.
During a recent appearance on Green Light with former NFL defensive lineman Chris Long, Carr said that Arrowhead Stadium is one of his favorite places to play and joked that “now that I’m not a Raider I can finally say it.”
It’s a surprising answer since Carr only won in Arrowhead once during his tenure with the Raiders, with most of his appearances at the stadium resulting in the Raiders being blown out at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Carr and Long shared memories about playing in the stadium and mentioned interactions with similar people that they enjoyed even though they didn’t do a whole lot of winning there.
Carr’s first season in New Orleans produced a mixed bag of results as his numbers were up to par with 25 passing touchdowns and just eight interceptions with a 68.4 percent completion rate for 3,878 yards despite battling through a number of injuries.
