Official visit season is just around the corner, and relatively unsurprisingly, LSU football is set to have one of the busiest schedules in the entire country. Most recently, it was reported that the No. 1 inside offensive lineman in the class of 2025 – Carius Curne – will take his trip to Baton Rouge next month.
No. 1 class of 2025 inside offensive lineman to visit LSU football next month
It’s been a slow May for LSU football as far as the world of recruiting goes. It’s been over a month since the Tigers landed their last commitment, and with five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore having decommitted just over a week ago, things aren’t exactly trending positively.
Even so, things have the potential to change in a major way in the very near future, thanks in large part to official visit season.
Among said recruits is Carius Curne, the No. 1 inside offensive lineman in the class of 2025, who was recently reported to have an official visit to Baton Rouge scheduled for June 14.
Along with LSU, Curne, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound recruit out of Marion, AR, is also expected to take additional visits to Missouri (May 31) and Arkansas (June 7).
Ranking as the No. 1 inside offensive lineman in the country, according to On3, he also happens to be one of the best recruits overall, sitting at No. 25 nationally.
While the talented Marion High School standout was most recently committed to the Razorbacks from Feburary 7, 2024 until March 25, the purple and gold are currently sitting as the overwhelming favorite to eventually land his final commitment. Tom Loy, Sonny Shipp and Bryce Koon of 247Sports all have crystal ball predictions trending towards the Tigers, while the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives him a 93.9 percent chance at eventually landing in Baton Rouge, LA.
The Tiger recruiting class of 2025 currently ranks No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in the SEC with 11 total commitments. While they already have three offensive linemen committed this cycle, don’t be surprised to see coach Brian Kelly take at least two or three more before things are all said and done.
