A 4-star Miami commit schedules an official visit to the Plains, and Jaylin Williams will work out with the Golden State Warriors in today’s Auburn Tigers News.
Elijah Menendez, a four-star linebacker who has committed to Miami since December of last year, has scheduled an official visit to Auburn football. The Kissimmee native is eager to discover what the Tigers have to offer, ranking as the #20 recruit out of Florida and the #15 linebacker in the recruiting class of 2025.
Menendez went to the Plains in the spring of last year, but he hasn’t been able to visit the university since. The linebacker has scheduled three official visits, including Auburn, according to his 247 Sports profile. He’ll be in Miami on June 21; the Tigers on May 31; and Michigan on June 14. Among the other programs attempting a flip are Penn State and Florida.
The linebacker is one of Auburn defensive coach DJ Durkin’s top targets. He will be on campus this weekend along with a number of other recruits, including several who have already committed to the Tigers.

Former Auburn basketball player Jaylin Williams is putting a lot of effort into improving his draft stock as the 2024 NBA Draft approaches.
Williams worked out with the Detroit Pistons prior to the draft earlier this month, and PDT Scouting on X reports that it went well.
“Auburn senior Jaylin Williams had a successful workout with the Detroit Pistons a source tells @madehoops,” PDT said on X. “This past season, Willaims, an extremely athletic wing, averaged 12.4 points per game and shot 40% from beyond the arc for Auburn. High motor, good length at 6’8 and improving shooter from deep. was the star of his Thursday workout.
Williams has reportedly received an invitation to join the Golden State Warriors for a pre-draft workout.
The NBA Draft of 2024 is scheduled on June 26–27 in New York.
