Skip Bayless Makes A Shocking Four Word Revelation About Celtics

The Boston Celtics should win the NBA Finals.

There’s literally no excuse for that not to happen, as Brad Stevens has put together the best team in the league; they have two budding stars making generational wealth, one of the best defensive players in the game, depth, and have been playing for the same coach for more than one year.

Still, for whatever reason, they continue to shoot themselves in the foot every now and then.

That was evident again in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals when they allowed the Indiana Pacers to put up 38 points in a quarter despite not having Tyrese Haliburton on the floor.

That’s why sports analyst Skip Bayless took to Twitter to claim that this is exactly why the Celtics cannot be fully trusted.

The Boston Celtics just gave up 38 in the second quarter to the Pacers without Haliburton. This is why you can’t quite completely trust them.

He might be right on point.

Granted, the Pacers deserve plenty of credit for the way they played and how they came out ready to play without their leader and best player, but still.

The Celtics tend to go through the motions and get bored or overconfident at times, and while they’re talented enough to dig themselves out of those holes, that’s a dangerous game to play when you’re going against legitimate contenders.

That may have been enough to get past the injury-depleted Miami Heat, and the Cleveland Cavaliers and Pacers missing their lead guards, but that’s not going to cut it against the likes of Luka Doncic or Anthony Edwards, so the Celtics must be at their best in the ultimate stage if they want to get over the hump once and for all.
