Per a recent post on X from popular NFL account MLFootball, the 34-year-old tight end is keen to remain with the Chiefs for the foreseeable future and aims to win six trophies. The Ohio native is apparently chasing NBA great Michael Jordan, who ended his career with six championships.
“Vince Lombardi at the end of the year with my teammates and my coaches and the fanbase in Kansas City, that’s what I’ve got my mind set on. Three more, here we come,” said Kelce.
Last season, Kelce was flooded by the media with many prying to his personal life and looking for details about his relationship with popular songwriter and singer Taylor Swift. He managed to drown out the outside noise and focus on football, helping guide the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl win with a 25-22 win in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Over 11 seasons in the NFL, Kelce has racked up an incredible 11328 receiving yards and 74 touchdowns.
Kelce is already 34 years old and it remains to be seen how many seasons he has left in the NFL. Catching Jordan would be a remarkable feat. Catching Tom Brady, who currently has seven Super Bowls, would be legendary.
