Data Shows Unfortunate Luck For Josh Allen, Bills

For years, the Buffalo Bills have knocked on the door of Super Bowl contention.

However, regardless of how favorable the path to the big game has been at times, Sean McDermott’s team has failed to get to the final game of the season.

This is even more head-scratching if you take a look at a graphic shared by Computer Cowboy on Twitter.

He shows that, with Josh Allen at quarterback, the Bills have outscored their opponents by a huge margin.

Yet, they’ve stumbled upon Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs three times in the playoffs, which is pretty much why they haven’t been to the Super Bowl.

“Over the past 4 seasons, the Bills have outscored their opponents more than any other team by an absolute mile. But their 3 best teams ran into Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs 3 times and they have nothing to show for it,” Cowboy said.

Notably, they had their best chance to beat them this season.

The Chiefs had their worst offense in the Patrick Mahomes era, and it was the first time they would have to be on the road in the playoffs.

Still, a missed field goal would put an end to their season, all while Mahomes and the Chiefs lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy again.

This is just heartbreaking, and the Bills simply cannot catch a break with their tough luck.

They’ve been able to beat the Chiefs multiple times in the regular season, yet something always seems to happen as soon as they square off in a win-or-go-home situation.

Sometimes, there’s just no one to blame or nothing to do in these situations.

Hopefully, Allen will be able to make it to the Super Bowl at least once in his career, as he’s been too good not to have that chance.
