URGENT: Uncertainty Surrounds Dallas Cowboys Quarterback’s Participation in Wild Card Game as per Injury Report
Before the Packers game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones raised concerns about head coach Mike McCarthy’s performance.
If Dallas fails to make a late postseason run, there is speculation that the team might consider pursuing former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick as McCarthy’s replacement.
Although no starting quarterback appeared on the Cowboys’ injury report on Wednesday or Thursday, backup quarterback Cooper Rush is listed as questionable for the Packers game due to an illness. Rush did not take part in Friday’s practice.
The Cowboys are banking on the health of starting quarterback Dak Prescott for the Wild Card game.
In the event Rush is unable to play on Sunday, the Cowboys will turn to former San Francisco 49ers first-round pick Trey Lance as Prescott’s backup against the Packers.
