Auburn football lands four-star WR Denairius Gray

It seems Hugh Freeze and Auburn are planning for the future.

Four-star wide receiver Denairius Gray has committed to Auburn, per his social media. Gray is a four-star according to On3, but is not ranked by any other major recruiting site. He’s a class of 2026 commitment.

The receiver from Chaminade-Madonna Prep was also being pursued by Miami, Florida and Georgia. Gray is the second Auburn commitment in the class of 2026, joining offensive lineman Kail Ellis.

Gray was interviewed by All Hurricanes back in November and was asked how to describe his style of play. “I would describe myself as a very physical, unselfish player,” Gray said. “I have no problem blocking, I will win 50/50 balls, I have a very quick release game, I’m 6’2 but move like I’m 5’9, I have very quick feet, my arms are long so it’s very hard to contest my catches, really an all-around red zone threat as well. I’m very versatile because I can play slot and the outside efficiently, and I can go deep when needed.”

His favorite wide receivers to study and learn from are Stefon Diggs and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Marcus Harris and Hugh Freeze are doing some serious work for the future of Auburn recruiting.
