Paul Merson drops hilarious scores prediction for Wolves v Forest clash

Paul Merson has projected Wolves vs. Nottingham Forest this weekend, praising Gary O’Neil’s team.

Wolves returned to winning ways on Tuesday, defeating Burnley 1-0. The victory snapped a two-game losing trend and, perhaps, rekindled the team’s form.

Gary O’Neil will be hoping that this result serves as a stimulant for the remaining games, propelling Wolves into the top half of the league.

If Wolves win this weekend, they will have 21 points and could move up to 10th in the table depending on other results.

However, ahead of Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest, Paul Merson has had his opinion on Wolves. In this, he lavished praise on Old Gold and lauded O’Neil’s work at Molineux.

Paul Merson on Wolves

Paul Merson couldn’t keep his enthusiasm for Wolves, whom he admits he adores, to himself in his weekly predictions piece on SportsKeeda.

“I like Wolves; they’re a proper mid-table team who have done exceptionally well this season under Gary O’Neil.” “They got a good 1-0 win against Burnley, and I think they’ll have too much for Nottingham Forest,” Merson explained.

Continuing, he predicted the score for Saturday’s game, “So I’m going for a 1-0 Wolves win.”

Given how leaky Forest have been of late, this is almost a daring prediction that Wolves will score more than one goal.

This is especially likely given the recent form of players like Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-Chan, who have been nearly unbeatable.

Wolves can become the mid-table leaders with win

Wolves will be confident going into this game following a close result against Arsenal and a win in midweek, not to mention Forest coming off a 5-0 thumping at the hands of Fulham.

It’s an exciting time for Wolves, with O’Neil’s plans coming to fruition and no game looking out of reach as they cause major difficulties for every team they’ve faced.

Given the circumstances in which he took over the club, moving up to tenth place would be a significant accomplishment.
