Bruno Guimaraes gave his quick reaction to Newcastle United’s 3-0 loss at Everton
Newcastle United player Bruno Guimaraes described his team’s 3-0 loss against Everton as a “very bad day at work.”
Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and substitute Beto scored in the final 20 minutes to hand Newcastle their sixth Premier League defeat of the season. Newcastle have won just once on the road in 2022-23, an 8-0 success at Sheffield United in September.
Frustrations were high at the full-time whistle after a late capitulation, and Guimaraes initiated a confrontation between the two sets of players by pointing his finger at Jordan Pickford before assaulting the Everton goalkeeper.
Fabian Schar then became involved and had to be taken down the tunnel. Pickford looked to mock the reunion by clinching his fists in front of the home fans as he returned to the changing room.

It was a night to forget for United, and Guimaraes was quick to respond on social media after the game, urging everyone to stick together.
“Very bad day in the office today!” wrote the Brazilian on X. We stick together in both good and bad times! Always there for you, NUFC.”
The Magpies have a short turnaround before facing Tottenham Hotspur in North London on Sunday. Spurs have not won in five games, and three points will see Eddie Howe’s side leapfrog their hosts in the table.
